I am a licensed attorney and a proud member of DebnamRust, P.C., where I practice Family Law, Child-Welfare Law, and Juvenile Law. As an advocate, I strive to be collaborative and prioritize active listening. I am also fluent in Spanish.
I am a first-generation college graduate from the Dallas area. My parents immigrated from Mexico as children and worked tirelessly to provide my three younger brothers and me with educational and life opportunities they were not afforded. This upbringing has shaped my understanding of the challenges faced by minorities and marginalized groups in our justice system and inspired my pursuit of law.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Texas at Arlington and a J.D. from Texas Tech School of Law. While in law school, I worked at the Tarrant County District Attorney’s Office, primarily in Juvenile and Felony courts. I served as President of the Criminal Law Association during my 2L year, bringing guest speakers such as Elizabeth Smart and the San Antonio Five to campus. I was also a member of the Tech Law Advocacy Program and the Board of Barristers.
Outside of work, I enjoy reading fiction, attending my boyfriend’s soccer games, spending time with our dog and cat, exploring new coffee shops, and practicing yoga, Pilates, and running.
